Baby Kevern week 6

So we told our families this week and that was really fun! Skyler's sis Whitney was just laughing and screaming "Are you SERIOUS?" His mom kept asking "Are you guys telling the truth!?" Haha! My mom is still in complete shock! She is super excited that since we just moved to their basement apartment so this new grandbaby won't ever go home! Skyler's mom will probably end up watching our baby while I work so they will both get lots of baby time! =) All of my siblings were really excited and surprised too! It was a lot of fun! I still can't believe this is really real!

Both our dad's are more quiet so they didn't have much to say. 

Later, my dad and I had this funny conversation:

Tricia: "Are you ready for your favorite grandchild to be born?" 

Dad: Laughs "The one I'm supposed to spoil the most?" 

Tricia: "Yep!" 

Dad: "How are you gonna do all those stairs?" (We live in the basement.) 
Tricia: Laughs "I don't know! I'm gonna be huge!

Dad: "No you won't, you'll work out!"

HAHA love my dada!

We told a lot of our friends and family and I am very excited to tell my close girlfriends at book club on Friday night!

 

How far along? 6 weeks 3 days
 

Size of baby?  About 1/8 inch or the size of a sweet pea, I've also heard the size of an m&m ;) we told our families with personalized m&m's this week!

Total weight gain/loss:  nothing yet, just bloated :( gross!

Maternity clothes? Not yet

Pregnancy symptoms this week? Very tired! Nothing sounds good to eat. And a lovely breakout :(

Stretch marks? nope

Sleep: I've been waking up with stomach aches, usually when I have to use the bathroom.

Best moment this week: Telling our families! =) and seeing our TINY gestational sac at my ultrasound on 7/5. I had a follow up from a cyst that I had in May so we got a little sneak preview. The tech said that I was measuring about 5 weeks. Oh and my cyst is gone but I do have 2 cysts on my left ovary now! The tech said that is normal for early pregnancy though.

Movement: haha nope too tiny!

Food cravings: watermelon and ice water still, and I love hamburgers!

Anything making you queasy or sick: the hot and sticky weather we have been having!

Labor Signs: nope

Mood? Very, very tired! And it doesn't seem real that I am pregnant! I feel like a mental case haha

Looking forward to: Baby growing more, telling my little bro in my letter to him tonight (he is serving an LDS mission in Birmingham, England) and my dr appt on Thursday-which is also my dad's bday.

Our first pregnancy update! 4 weeks

Size of baby?  About 1 mm or the size of a poppy seed

Here's a poppy seed muffin! We went to a baby blessing for my friend Rose's beautiful little lady Desiree on June 30th.

Total weight gain/loss:  nothing yet
Maternity clothes? Not yet

Pregnancy symptoms this week? Tired, extra hot, a little nausea when I get too hot

Stretch marks? nope

Sleep: It’s hard to fall asleep but I am sleeping pretty well.

Best moment this week: 3 positive pregnancy tests! And whenever Skyler says Baby Inside! haha

Movement: haha nope too tiny!

A little about us..

Hello, my name is Tricia Kevern. I love reading and blogs and so I decide to create one of my own to keep a history of our life and family and to allow family members to keep track of us easily.

A little background:

My husby Skyler and I were introduced to each other by our mutual friend back in January of 2008. After a few months of convincing by Skyler, she finally gave him my number. We texted back and forth for a week and then he asked me out. We ended up going bowling with a bunch of his friends, on April 24, 2008, 2 days before our first date and the rest is history! We have rarely spent more than a day a part (and usually not even that) ever since!

We dated for a little over 3 years, got engaged on May 4, 2011, got married January 3, 2012 and got sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on January 12, 2013 We have a very real and honest relationship and we are each other's first priority! Our life is hard, crazy, busy, fun, full-hearted, passionate and awesome! !

The main reason for starting the blog today is because we just found out 2 days ago that we are expecting a baby to join our family in February 2014! I had a positive at-home pregnancy test on Tuesday, June 25th. Then, because I didn't believe it, I went to the doctor yesterday, June 26th, and had a blood test and a urine test. All three are positive so I guess we are in for a wild ride!!!
